Friday Favorites: Current Must-Have Beauty Favorites

Current Must-Have Beauty Favorites

Happy Friday!  I wanted to start a new series called Friday Favorites.  I’ve seen a few of my favorite bloggers do similar series on their blogs and it’s such a fun idea!  Every Friday I’ll be sharing my favorite items– beauty, fashion, motherhood, pregnancy and whatever else I’m currently loving.  It’s been awhile since I shared my current must-have beauty favorites so I figured that I’d kick off my Friday Favorites with a run down of all the beauty products I’m currently loving! Preparing Your Small Living Space For A New Addition

Preparing Your Small Space For A New Addition, Closet Organization, Closet Inspiration, Nursery Closet Ideas

*This post is sponsored by Guardian Storage, however, all opinions expressed are 100% honest and my own.

In true second child fashion 😉 , Liam will not have his own nursery right away.  We currently rent a 2 bedroom apartment which has been more than enough space for us but as our family grows, we’ve started to outgrow our apartment.  We’re most likely planning to move to a larger space shortly after Liam is born (and by that time he wouldn’t even be in his own room just yet anyways) so the poor kiddo is not getting his own nursery right now!  The only downfall to this is that babies have A LOT of stuff!  And since our space is on the smaller side, we had to figure out how in the world we were going to prepare our small living space for a new addition. Bump Update // 22 Weeks + Name Reveal

*This post contains affiliate links

I should *probably* wait until tomorrow to post this since I’ll be 23 weeks by then but I just  couldn’t wait any longer to share our name reveal!  I am the worst at keeping secrets, especially when I’m excited about them.  Seriously… I always end up giving my husband presents as soon as I buy them instead of waiting for the holiday because I’m too excited haha.  I can’t help it!  We’ve had a name picked out for a little while now but were looking for the perfect way to share with you all.  I came across Knots LLC on Instagram and knew that one of their personalized newborn hats was exactly how I wanted to announce little man’s name.  The ladies over at Knots so graciously sent us a package for baby #2 that was more perfect than I could have even imagined!  All of their designs are to die for and are so perfect for name reveals, hospital hats, birth announcements, and newborn photo props!  I’ll definitely be using our hat for all of the above.  They make for THE cutest baby shower gift, too.  I’m kiiiiind of obsessed with Knots now and can’t speak enough good things about them!  Definitely go check them out! Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

This post contains affiliate links

It’s that time of the year again!  The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is about to go public and it’s seriously one of the best sales of the year.  I debated whether or not I should share a sale guide on my blog because I feel like every single blogger has done this and I don’t want to be overkill buttttt you guys said you wanted it so here it is!

A few things to note– you’re not going to find any “basics” on here.  While basic tees (and similar items) are definitely a great price during the sale, I don’t think that this is necessarily the lowest price they’ll be all year.  Basics go on sale pretty often so I don’t waste my time and money on them during the sale.  Personally, I shop the sale for staple items and investment pieces.  These items really don’t go on sale again during the year so now is the time to stock up!

I always start by taking inventory of my closet.  From there I can see what I actually need.  Do I need new over the knee boots? Rain boots? A new winter coat?  A new bag??  These are typically items that carry over year to year and aren’t usually the trendy items.  Of course, I work a few of the pieces that are on trend into my sale haul but for the most part I focus on staple items.  I also use the sale to stock up on beauty items.  The beauty sale is always phenomenal so I grab bigger ticket items (I invested in a Clarisonic last year) as well as all of my everyday products (major sales on bundles).

PS- up until now, the sale was only available for early access.  Early access is only available to Nordstrom Card holders (FYI for next year 😉 ) and it’s the best way to grab your favorite items before they sell out.  The sale opens to the public on July 21 at 12am PST and runs through August 6.  Nordstrom *usually* does a big restock before the sale goes public but items sell out FAST!  So… if you have your eye on something make sure to grab it right away!

So now that you have an idea of the type of sale items I like to go for, scroll down to check out my favorite picks from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

Bump Update // 20 Weeks

Bump Update // 20 Weeks

Oh hey there!  I feel like it’s been forever since I posted anything because well..it totally has.  I took a (much needed) break from blogging at the beginning of my pregnancy and boy did it feel good.  Don’t get me wrong–I absolutely love to blog and this little outlet of mine is a dream but I was getting a little bit burnt out.  So, I finished up the posts that I had already agreed to take on and took a break.  I spent a lot of time focusing on being present in everyday life but also took some time to reflect on my blog and think about its future.  I want to create content that I’m passionate about and make it the best that I can for you.  I found that when I stopped taking on new collaborations, didn’t pay attention to an editorial calendar and posted what I wanted, when I wanted to social media not only did I feel at peace but you guys loved it, too.  You may not have even noticed that this was intentional but I received SO much positive feedback about what I was currently posting which really confirmed that this was the right move for me.
