I’ve been in such a rut with dinners recently. I feel like I’ve exhausted all options on my Pinterest boards and I’m struggling to come up with anything new. We’ve had the same few dinners on rotation for the last few weeks so it was time for a change. I’ve been hearing amazing things about HelloFresh recently so I decided to give it a try. I mean, we were long overdue for a new quick + easy dinner!
Whether you work 80 hours a week at the office or you’re a stay at home mom who is always on the go you should always make time for the things you enjoy. I know it can be hard to press pause on the world around you but you NEED to do it! It’s funny how taking a few minutes to do something you truly like to do can improve your mood and even your productivity. I always try to take time out of my busy day for the 5 things I allow myself to enjoy.
Today I’m sharing toddler friendly meal ideas! (Disclaimer: I am in no way an expert on this but I just wanted to share what works for us!!) Mason was so comfortable with puréed food that he never wanted table food. He always wanted to try what mommy and daddy were eating but when it came down to mealtime he wanted nothing to do with it. Story of any parent’s life pretty much. It’s not like he wasn’t hungry or couldn’t chew it (little man has 15 teeth at 15 months old…like, what?!?) but he was just so comfortable with baby food that he didn’t want anything else. I finally decided to go cold turkey and offer nothing but table food and it went better than I could have ever imagined! I took to Pinterest to find ideas and made up a meal plan for the week. I always plan and prep my own meals on the weekend so I planned Mason’s meals partially on what I was planning to make for adult meals and partially based on what I thought he would actually eat.
