Hey everyone! If you didn’t see on Instagram I decided to do a Q + A. I want to be as transparent as possible so I’m answering what you guys want to know!
It’s officially June which means in my eyes it’s SUMMER, which just so happens to be my favorite season of the entire year! And the only thing that makes summer even better is having a little one to spend it with. Mason was only a few months old last summer and we had a ton of fun experiencing summertime as a family but he was still too young to really enjoy it. He LOVES being outdoors and in the water and now that he’s a little bit older we are so excited to take on summer activities with him.
Today I’m sharing toddler friendly meal ideas! (Disclaimer: I am in no way an expert on this but I just wanted to share what works for us!!) Mason was so comfortable with puréed food that he never wanted table food. He always wanted to try what mommy and daddy were eating but when it came down to mealtime he wanted nothing to do with it. Story of any parent’s life pretty much. It’s not like he wasn’t hungry or couldn’t chew it (little man has 15 teeth at 15 months old…like, what?!?) but he was just so comfortable with baby food that he didn’t want anything else. I finally decided to go cold turkey and offer nothing but table food and it went better than I could have ever imagined! I took to Pinterest to find ideas and made up a meal plan for the week. I always plan and prep my own meals on the weekend so I planned Mason’s meals partially on what I was planning to make for adult meals and partially based on what I thought he would actually eat.
Cheers to a fabulous weekend celebrating all those who have babies, lost babies, are wishing for babies or have fur babies! Being a mama is SUCH a hard job so you totally deserve a day to kick your feet up, hand the torch over to daddy and pray the house doesn’t burn down 😉
My weekend was spent with my loved ones and it was so much fun!
Friday was a total recharge day. We knew the rest of our weekend was going to be busy so we jumped at the opportunity to just hang out. It was a super dreary day so we ran a few errands and watched Netflix… Nothing exciting!
