I would love nothing more than to escape the cold and head to the beach but a few things get in the way of that… you know, like work schedules and money. 😉 I’ve been racking my brain of how to escape the snow while still staying in the budget and discovered Kalahari Resorts in the Pocono Mountains. If you’re local to Pennsylvania, you don’t even need to hop on a plane to take this kind of mini getaway! The Poconos are just a little road trip away and you’ll still get the tropical feeling with Kalahari Resorts. They’re currently expanding the already insane resort and by March 2017 it will be the largest indoor water park in America…say what?!
As if 100,000 square feet of indoor water park wasn’t enough, Kalahari will be adding eight new slides, a wave pool, the coral cove kids’ play area, additional swim-up bar and expanding the lazy river. If you’re not as into the water as your kids are, don’t worry– Kalahari has a ton of dining options (as of March 2017 they’ll have TWELVE different options all under one roof), a spa, a fitness center, a family entertainment center, shopping, and an outdoor adventure park…and they’re making everything even bigger and better. There’s something for the whole family at Kalahari Resorts!
Okay, so now that you’re totally psyched about heading to Kalahari now it’s time to think logistics. No matter how hard I try I always wait until the last minute to pack! Lists make everything easier for me. If I don’t make a list of everything I need I’ll either end up with my son’s entire room or forget to pack anything for him…and there’s no in between. 😉 Lucky for you, I made the ultimate toddler packing list so you can focus on your getaway rather than stressing over packing.
Here’s everything you need to pack for your toddler for the ultimate getaway at Kalahari Resorts:
