Cheers to a fabulous weekend celebrating all those who have babies, lost babies, are wishing for babies or have fur babies! Being a mama is SUCH a hard job so you totally deserve a day to kick your feet up, hand the torch over to daddy and pray the house doesn’t burn down 😉
My weekend was spent with my loved ones and it was so much fun!
Friday was a total recharge day. We knew the rest of our weekend was going to be busy so we jumped at the opportunity to just hang out. It was a super dreary day so we ran a few errands and watched Netflix… Nothing exciting!
Since we are fortunate enough to have so much of our family close to us we knew Mother’s Day was going to be spent between all the mamas in our life so I asked for Saturday to be my day. As much as I dream of “alone time” I miss my boys more than anything the second I’m away from them so that was totally out of the cards for my perfect Mother’s Day. Instead, we spent a beautiful sunny day at the park as a family. Mason and I go to the park all the time but Jack is usually at work so it was so much fun to all get to go together! After the park we stopped for Italian ice and custard (calories don’t count on Mother’s Day weekend, FYI ;)!!) and headed home.
Sunday was spent with the mamas in our family. Mason and I woke up early to drive into Pittsburgh for the Race for the Cure 5K with my mom. It is always such an amazing event and it was the most beautiful day as well! After the race we headed to brunch because no Mother’s Day is complete without brunch, duh! We spent the rest of the day with Jack’s side of the family until we headed home for the night. I absolutely love spending time with family so my day could not have been more perfect! Plus, my Mother’s Day wish was to not do any dishes or change any poopy diapers (lol!) and that was the best gift I could have ever received hahaha!
I hope you all had an amazing weekend, too! Here’s our weekend in photos-
